Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as stateless persons and foreigners permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, unless otherwise provided for in international treaties to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party.
To a person who adopts a child aged 3–18 who has been deprived of parental care, including a child under 18 years of age with a disability, for a child adopted after January 1, 2021, upon submission of a legally effective court decision on the adoption of the child.
240 manats for an adopted child, including 600 manats for an adopted child under 18 years of age with a disability.
The allowance for an adopted child, including a child under 18 years of age with a disability, is granted from a date not earlier than January 1, 2021, until the end of the month in which the child reaches 18 years of age.
Once a person becomes entitled to the allowance, they may apply for it to the structural unit of the State Social Protection Fund at their place of residence, a DOST Centre, or the “Unified coordination centres for applications from family members of martyrs, military personnel Injured in connection with the war, and persons with disabilities”.
An application for the granting of the allowance is reviewed and an appropriate decision is made no later than 10 (ten) days from the date of its registration.
If a decision is made to refuse the granting of the allowance, the applicant is officially informed within 5 (five) days, with the reasons for the refusal indicated. The applicant has the right to appeal this decision administratively to a higher competent authority (official) and to the court.
Social allowances are paid, where the person is entitled to them, for a period of no more than three years preceding the date of application.
