The National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Issues is a public legal entity which evaluates labour market and social security, conducts the study of development trends, monitors, analyzes and makes forecasts in order to make effective decisions.
The Observatory operates under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In its activities, the Observatory is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, international agreements to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party, laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, acts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Observatory’s Charter, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, other normative legal acts and decisions, orders of the Minister.
The Observatory is engaged in activities of national and (or) public importance. The Observatory may engage in entrepreneurial activities to achieve the goals set forth in its Charter.
The Observatory has an independent balance sheet, property, treasury and bank accounts, a logo (emblem), a seal with the Ministry's name and its own name engraved on it, appropriate stamps, and letterheads.
The Observatory is located in Baku.
