The Public Relations Department is a structural division of the Office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. The Department, within the framework of the powers granted by the its Regulation, carries out tasks envisaged in decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other legislative acts, implements action plans and other assignments approved by the orders of the Ministry, carries out duties, functions and powers assigned to the Ministry according to the existing legislation, makes adaptation of the activities to the principles of open government, of public participation in the activities of the Ministry, establishes and manages communication, organizes and regulates Public Relations Strategy (hereafter - PR strategy) and policy.
In its activities, the Department complies with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service", "On Freedom of Information", "On Media", "On Obtaining Information", "On Public Participation" and other laws, "Labour and Social Policy of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan". It is guided by the Regulation on the Ministry of Defense and other decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions of the Ministry's Board, orders of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its Regulation.
The Department interacts with other structural divisions of the Ministry's Office, as well as with central and local executive bodies, public legal entities, local self-government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and media entities.
