International cooperation

One of the main activities of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the establishment and development of international cooperation relations in the fields of labour, employment, regulation of labour market, population density and demography, disability and rehabilitation, and social security. In this regard, the Ministry actively cooperates with relevant institutions of various countries and reputable international organizations.

Bilateral cooperation relations are established and developed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with relevant institutions of Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, Latvia, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Tajikistan and other countries.  Until now, Inter-Governmental and Inter-Ministerial Agreements, Protocols, Memorandums and Programs have been signed with relevant state institutions of foreign countries and international organizations in the scope of the Ministry's authority.

The Ministry cooperates with the United Nations Organization (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank (WB), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), UN Population Fund (UNF), UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, TACIS Program of the European Union, EuropeAid and the ICRC. This cooperation covers labour, employment, labour migration, social protection, rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, etc. is observed by the implementation of joint projects in the fields and contributes to the development of those fields in our country. 

The Ministry continues to expand international cooperation relations, study advanced world practices in relevant fields, and conduct exchange of experience and information.
