Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population is the central executive authority that implements state policy in the areas of labour relations, occupational safety, use of labour resources, social protection of population, including labour pensions and social insurance, state mandatory personal insurance, employment, unemployment insurance, demographics, medical-social expertise, rehabilitation of people with disabilities, foster family, and adoption.

Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC)

Established during the Congress of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan on February 5-6, 1993, the ATUC is a voluntary union that represents and defends the labour and socio-economic rights and interests of its members including those from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and 26 sectoral trade union associations. The ATUC covers 16,135 trade union organizations and approximately 1,121,946 trade union members. The law of the Azerbaijan Republic “About Trade Unions” was adopted on February 24, 1994.

National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK)

It is a public union of employers in Azerbaijan, coordinating the activities of legal and natural people engaged in entrepreneurial activities on a voluntary basis, regardless of ownership and organizational-legal form (excluding organizations financed from the state budget). It defends their legal and economic interests and is a non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at self-governance and public benefit, whitout prioritizing profit generation as its primary aim.
