The Strategic Planning and Innovations Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population monitors and analyzes the results of social policies implemented by the Ministry, organizes and coordinates work in the field of strategic planning, ensures accountability for the activities of the Ministry, coordinates preparation and implementation of relevant projects and innovation policy in the areas of activity, as well as the organization of services in the fields of employment, labuor relations, social protection and social security, as well as in other areas in accordance with the activities of the Ministry within the scope of the powers granted by the Regulation and relevant legal acts performs its rights and duties, including organizational and control measures.
In its activities, the Department follows the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, international agreements to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service" and other laws, the "Regulation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and other decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, the decisions of the Board of the Ministry, the orders of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and the Department’s Regulation.
The Department interacts with other structural divisions of the Ministry's Office, as well as central and local executive power, local self-government bodies and local non-governmental organizations.
