The Social Insurance and Pension Policy Department is a structural division of the Office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. Within the framework of the powers granted by the Regulation, the Department is responsible for developing measures and organizing work for further improving the pension provision of citizens, reliable social protection of pensioners, sustainable and dynamic development of the insurance-pension system, as well as preparing relevant proposals for strengthening the financial stability of the pension system.
In its activities, the Department follows the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service" and other laws, the decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Regulation on the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan", the Ministry’s Board decisions, orders of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and Department’s Regulation.
While performing its duties and exercising its rights, the Department interacts with other structural divisions of the Ministry's Office, as well as with central and local executive authorities and non-governmental organizations.
