Mr. Anar Aliyev was born in Baku in 1980. He graduated from Baku State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in International Law. He also holds a Master's degree (2002) and a PhD in Law (2006) from the same university.
From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Aliyev worked as Secretary of the court session at the local Economic Court №1. From 2006 to 2008, he served as Chief Advisor in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He then held the position of Head of the Department from 2008 to 2018.
Mr. Aliyev was awarded the medal "For Distinction in Civil Service" by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on June 19, 2012, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the Azerbaijani economy. By the Decree of the President dated 3 February 2016, he was appointed as a member of the Appeals Board under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a position he held until 2018.
Until October 30, 2018, he served as the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population. Since then, worked as the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated February 7, 2025, he was appointed as Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Mr. Aliyev is married and has two children.
