The International Relations Department, which is a structural division of the Office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ensures the establishment and development of the international relations of the Ministry in the areas of activity within the powers granted by its Regulation.
In its activities, the department follows the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the international treaties to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Civil Service" and other laws, "The Regulation on the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and other decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, the decisions of the Board of the Ministry, the orders of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and its Regulation.
The Department, performing its duties and exercising its rights, interacts with other structural divisions of the Ministry, as well as with central and local executive authorities, embassies (diplomatic missions), consulates and trade missions (chambers of commerce) of foreign countries accredited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, international and regional organizations, diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries, central and local executive authorities (ministries, committees, agencies) operating in the fields of labour, employment and social protection, associations, non-governmental organizations, universities, research institutes and centers in accordance with the foreign policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
