The Adoption and Alternative Care Policy Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan ensures the state policy in the field of adoption within the powers granted by the Regulation and carries out the organization and regulation of adoption cases.
In its activities, the Department follows the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Family Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Regulation on the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and other decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and other legislative acts, decisions of the Board of the Ministry, ordersof the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and Department’s Regulation.
While performing its duties and exercising its rights, the Department interacts with other structural units of the Ministry's Office, as well as central and local executive authorities.
