According to the resolution of the UN General Assembly, July 30 is celebrated annually as the World Day against Human Trafficking. In our country, successive measures are being taken in the field of combating human trafficking, and purposeful work is being carried out in the direction of social protection and rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking.
As a continuation of the work done in this direction by the Center for Assistance to Victims of Trafficking under the Agency for Social Services under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, 24 more victims of human trafficking and potential victims of human trafficking (persons at risk of facing the threat of human trafficking) were provided social, legal, socio-economic, socio-psychological and medical-social services were provided.
The staff of the center, consisting of a social worker, a psychologist and a legal advisor, prepared and implemented an individual social rehabilitation plan for each of those victims.
Support is also provided to ensure vocational training and employment of victims of human trafficking and potential victims of human trafficking. Currently, social rehabilitation services for the mentioned persons are continuing in the Center.
