The initial results of the monitoring of the work done last year regarding the targets outlined in the "Social and Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026" were discussed
The next meeting of the "Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection" Working Group was held regarding the implementation of the targets outlined in the "Social and Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026."
The meeting focused on discussing the report on the monitoring and evaluation of the work done in 2024 regarding the goals outlined in the Strategy, namely, "Ensuring that every citizen benefits from development" and "High and fair social protection, inclusive society."
Anar Aliyev, the Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population highlighted the significant steps taken in the framework of social reforms, including the improvement of the wage system, expansion of social protection, and active employment programs.
The discussion also covered the efforts to increase employment opportunities for vulnerable groups, align labour demand and supply in the labour market, and develop a competitive workforce potential.
Ramil Huseyn, the Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), emphasized the importance of monitoring and evaluation in identifying the main challenges and recommendations in the process of implementing the social goals outlined in the Strategy.
Elnur Alakbarov, the Deputy Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis Division of CAERC, presented the results of the preliminary monitoring and evaluation of the work done in three areas of the "Ensuring that every citizen benefits from development" goal: "Improvement of the wage system," "Stimulating employment development in the private sector," and "Increasing the efficiency of employment." The challenges and recommendations identified during the evaluation were discussed.
The members of the Working Group also engaged in discussions about the work done and presented their proposals.
In addition to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the Working Group includes representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "ABAD" Public Legal Entity, the Central Bank, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the State Migration Service, and the Youth Foundation.
