The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population met with a delegation led by the Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratyuk, who is currently visiting our country for participation in the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
Minister Sahil Babayev emphasized the strong friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, highlighting that these relations also encompass the social sphere. He noted the significance of documents signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine in advancing these relations in the field of social protection.
The experience of cooperation in the field of medical and social rehabilitation, the exchange of experience related to the organization of social services and the preparation of standards in this field were discussed.
Also, the work done in recent years in the field of bringing children and young people who suffered from the war in Ukraine to our country and providing them with social and psychological rehabilitation services was mentioned.
Social reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, DOST concept, successes of the electronicization program in the social field, medical and social rehabilitation services provided to persons with disabilities, as well as provision of the latest generation prostheses were reported.
O. Kondratyuk expressed his satisfaction with the development of relations between his country and Azerbaijan, and the importance of bilateral cooperation in the process of social reforms.
