The future cooperation prospects between Uzbekistan's "International Inclusive HUB" inclusive education center and the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity were discussed.
The delegation, led by Madina Badalova, Director of Uzbekistan's "International Inclusive HUB," an internationally based professional inclusive education center, visited the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.
The guests, who are in our country to participate in the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), were informed about the activities and service areas of the Center.
Acting Director of the Center, Elnara Ansari, noted that the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, which operates under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is the first and largest inclusive institution in the South Caucasus.
The Center, which was inaugurated on October 22, 2021, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva, provides various creative training programs, as well as social pedagogical and psychological support services to vulnerable groups of the population. The Center, initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, aims to support the development of talents and skills, rehabilitation, and integration into society of individuals with disabilities, members of martyrs’ families, children who have lost their parents or are deprived of parental care, and other vulnerable groups.
The guests observed the training process in the creative studios and viewed an exhibition of handmade items created at the Center and its "DOST House" branch. The exhibition featured works related to environmental protection, as well as artworks created by trainers and beneficiaries on the theme "Green World Solidarity Year".
M.Badalova provided information on the ongoing ecological initiatives carried out by the "International Inclusive HUB." She emphasized the active participation of the HUB's eco-activists in the COP29 events and their focus on critical issues related to climate change and its impact on people with special needs.
It was noted that this project is being implemented by the National Agency of Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, and the "Zamin" International Public Foundation. The unique platform aims to create equal opportunities for young people to receive quality education, reveal their talents, and ensure rehabilitation and social adaptation.
