The Social Support Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population continued the "Box for newborn girls" project in Salyan.
30 families in Salyan who had a girl child in July of this year were presented with boxes containing baby supplies, hygiene products, a set of clothes, and educational instructions on child care and early education within the framework of the project.
The goal is to stimulate the prevention of gender selection of children before birth, and to provide support to families where female children are born.
As part of the project started last year, in the past period, support boxes were presented to families with newborn girls in Shamakhi, Tovuz, Masalli, Tartar, Sabirabad, Gusar, Salyan regions. The project is planned to be held in other regions as well.
