The self-employment program, implemented under the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev provides unemployed and job-seeking individuals with the opportunity to engage in small businesses.
The number of participants in this program, carried out by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has increased nearly 15 times compared to 2017, the year the program was launched, exceeding 17300.
Over the past period, more than 96000 unemployed and job-seeking individuals have been involved in the self-employment program.
In the first phase for participants, training is organized to teach them the knowledge and skills required for the organization and management of small businesses.
Upon completion of the training, participants are provided with assets to establish their small businesses in line with their business plans.
