In the period after the 44-day Patriotic War, in which the Azerbaijan Army won a great historical victory under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, a large-scale social support package for the members of the families of martyrs and war participants is being implemented according to the instructions of the head of state.
Within the framework of this package implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in the past period:
115,000 monthly social payments were assigned to 103,000 family members of martyrs and war veterans, insurance payments were made to 3,565 people;
Until August 2, 1997, one-time payment was given to 17,164 persons with disabilities due to injuries received in military service;
Social payments aimed at families of martyrs and those with war-related disabilities have been increased every year, and war veterans have been given monthly stipends;
The housing program for the families of martyrs, persons with war-related disabilities was expanded 5 times, 4,760 apartments and private houses were provided to them, and 324 cars were provided to persons with war-related disabilities (in the past period, 13,560 apartments and private houses were provided to those in these categories, due to the war more than 7,500 cars were given to people with related disabilities);
43,000 social-psychological support and rehabilitation services were provided to 11,000 members of families of martyrs and war participants;
1,920 persons with war-related disabilities were provided with 36,868 rehabilitation aids, 414 persons from this category with 431 high-tech modern prostheses;
employment of 17,700 people, including members of martyrs' families and war participants, was provided, including 9,900 people were involved in the self-employment program;
services were provided to 83.7 thousand people, including members of martyrs’ families and war participants, in unified coordination centers, etc.
The social support package covered a total of 124,000 people, and 285,000 support-oriented services were provided to them in the post-war period.
