From January to June this year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency, part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, delivered rehabilitation services to 1,041 individuals with disabilities who had difficulty leaving their homes.
These individuals received a total of 2,500 rehabilitative services. To access mobile services, individuals with disabilities or their legal representatives can apply through the Ministry's "142" call center, DOST centers, or the Medical and Social Expert Commission.
Upon application, a mobile team of doctors and psychologists from the relevant rehabilitation center visits the individual's home for an initial examination and assessment. An individualized plan is then created, providing rehabilitation services such as doctor and psychologist consultations, speech therapy, therapeutic massage, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
