Consistent reforms aimed at the sustainable development of the labor market in response to new challenges not only increased citizens' employment opportunities and improved mechanisms for protecting labor and social rights, but also contributed to a better performance of our country's labor market indicators in prestigious international rankings.
The assurance of equal treatment in labor relations, prevention of discrimination, exploitation of child labor, and forced labor, as well as restriction of the right to leave, the prohibition of paying less than the minimum wage, labor protection and safety, and important provisions regarding employment contracts and working hours were enshrined in labor legislation.
At the same time, ensuring gender equality holds a special place in the country’s labor legislation. Recently, based on proposals from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and the “Labor Market” working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, legislative improvements were made to enhance women's participation in the labor market in line with best practices from around the world.
