In the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, a public hearing was held on the topic "The role of public participation in the implementation of social protection policy" with the participation of members of the Public Council under the Ministry and representatives of other NGOs.
At the event, information was provided on reforms in the fields of labor, employment, social protection, disability assessment, medical and social rehabilitation, as well as, social protection and active employment programs for vulnerable groups.
The Chairman of the Public Council, Professor Elshad Mammadov, discussed the role of public participation in organizing the reforms and social protection measures carried out by the Ministry, and emphasized the importance of the work done in this field, as well as the significance of such public hearings held continuously.
Discussions were held on the implemented social reforms, projects related to vulnerable groups, including families of martyrs’ and war participants, as well as people with disabilities. The opinions and suggestions of the event participants were also heard.
