The order will include to about 3,000 individuals overall.
The new order by President Ilham Aliyev, titled "On Providing One-Time Financial Assistance to Individuals Included in the Category of Participants in the Second World War of 1941-1945, Widows of Deceased or Later Deceased Fighters, and Individuals Awarded with Orders and Medals for their Dedicated Service on the Rear Front," marks the latest expression of special attention to citizens falling under the mentioned category.
According to the order, in commemoration of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War, a one-time financial assistance of 2000 manats will be provided to the participants of that war.
Additionally, a one-time financial assistance of 1000 manats will be provided to the widows of deceased or later deceased fighters of the Second World War, individuals awarded with orders and medals for their dedicated service on the rear front during that period, workers of special units who fulfilled assignments for the benefit of the army and navy within the rear boundaries of the front lines or operational zones of the fighting fleets during the Second World War, as well as individuals awarded with the respective medal and badge for the defense of Leningrad during the Second World War and participants in the siege of Leningrad.
It is expected that the order will encompass close to 3,000 individuals overall, with 30 of them being participants in the Second World War.
For the provision of one-time financial assistance, an amount of 3 million manats has been allocated from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population will transfer the one-time financial assistance to the bank accounts of the participants of the Second World War and other relevant individuals.
