October 17, 2020, the 21st day of the 44-day Patriotic War, in which our army achieved a magnificent victory under the leadership of President and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, is marked in our history as the day when the city of Fuzuli and its surrounding villages were liberated from Armenian occupation.
According to the decree signed by the President on July 31, 2023, October 17 is celebrated as Fuzuli City Day.
The State Employment Agency, under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, ensures that residents relocated to the liberated territories are covered by active employment programs. More than 1,018 of residents relocated to Fuzuli were also provided with employment.
Within the framework of the self-employment program, small farms were established for 35 of those residents, and additional farms will be created for another group of residents in the coming days. Additionally, 28 residents were engaged in vocational training courses.
