Social and psychological support services are planned to be provided to these women after their release.
A meeting with female prisoners was held at Penitentiary Facility No. 4, organized jointly by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population and the Ministry of Justice.
The event, aimed at supporting the social adaptation of individuals released from penal institutions, involved female prisoners who have children under the age of three and are three months away from completing their sentences.
Staff from the Social Services Agency shared information about the Agency's activities for the social adaptation of female prisoners, ensuring the protection of their rights and freedoms, and responded to questions about the work of the Social Adaptation Center.
It was emphasized that these support services are provided on a voluntary basis and with the individual's consent. Visits are organized to the families of those released from correctional facilities, and based on the results of assessments, they are provided with relevant services.
During the meeting, seven women, three months away from their release, were assessed based on a survey. After their release, they are planned to be engaged in social and psychological support services.
