The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population's Supervisory Board of the DOST Agency convened its next meeting. Sahil Babayev, the Chairman of the Council and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, emphasized that the August 9, 2018, presidential decree established the Sustainable and Operative Social Security Agency (DOST Agency), along with seven DOST centers, one DOST branch, and one "Smart DOST" station. He mentioned that during the previous period, these centers served over 2,800,000 citizens, and 98.2 percent of them expressed satisfaction with the services they received.
Sahil Babayev emphasized that state social services are delivered in Azerbaijan through cutting-edge, fully transparent, adaptable, and one-window processes, all thanks to the DOST idea, which was started by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.
According to reports, DOST services will be available to every citizen of the nation after the Regional DOST infrastructure is built. There are currently plans underway in a number of the republic's regions for the opening of DOST centers.
It was emphasized that the DOST model, which is an example of successful social reform of Azerbaijan, is highly appreciated at the international level, and the DOST Agency was awarded with many international awards and certificates in the past. It was also noted that currently a number of countries are interested in learning the experience of DOST and applying it, and in this field experience is being exchanged with those countries.
During the meeting, a semi-annual report on the activities of the Agency for 2024 was presented, "Consolidated Financial Statements and Independent Auditor's Report" were adopted, and a number of issues, strategic goals, and priorities were reviewed.
