Online meetings were held between Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan Behzod Musayev and Director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Olloyerov.
During the meetings, it was noted that as a result of the efforts of the heads of state of the brotherly countries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the relations between the two countries entered a new stage of development.
The special importance of the "Agreement on the establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan" signed by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev in August 2023 in the dynamic development of strategic partnership was emphasized. It was said that the construction of a secondary school at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan in the liberated city of Fuzuli is another example of friendship and brotherhood.
It was emphasized that relations in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection are constantly expanding, and cooperation is carried out within the framework of international organizations. The importance of cooperation documents signed in the past period, including the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan in October last year, was emphasized in the development of relations.
The importance of exchange of experience in the process of social reforms and great potential for further development of cooperation was stated. Within the framework of the 5th conference of the labor ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held in November 2023 in our country, it was noted that the international status Labor Center of the OIC, which was opened in Baku, aims to contribute to the development of relations between the member countries of the Organization.
Future cooperation in the fields of labor, employment, social protection, as well as the continuation and expansion of the exchange of experience in the relevant fields of activity were discussed.
