As part of the "Employment Support Project" implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with financial support from the World Bank, small businesses were created for more than 17,000 individuals during the recent period.
The Project plays a significant role in expanding the self-employment program, enabling access to small businesses in the production and service sectors for people with disabilities, members of martyr’s families, and low-income families, and unemployed individuals from vulnerable groups.
The Project, covering the years 2020-2025 and aimed at supporting 22,000 unemployed individuals, targets the engagement of over 25,000 beneficiaries by the end of 2025 as a result of its successful implementation.
Trainings on the "Start and improve your business" program of the International Labor Organization are also organized for project participants. They are provided with knowledge and skills in areas such as financial literacy, proactive entrepreneurial thinking, and small business organization.
Individuals who successfully establish and develop their small businesses under the project are also provided with additional support as incentive awards to expand their businesses.
As a reflection of the high international recognition of the work done on the "Employment Support Project", this year the Project was awarded the 2024 prize by the Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia.
