Himalay Mamishov, Chairman of the Board of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, participated in the Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and Pacific countries, organized by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
H.Mamishov, who was elected as the Chairman of the International Association of Pension and Social Funds last year, met with the Secretary-General of ISSA, Marcelo Abi-Ramia Caetano, during the Forum. The meeting focused on discussing future cooperation between the two international organizations.
Additionally, the issue of updating the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2012 between International Association of Pension and Social Funds and ISSA was discussed, in relation to the dynamic development of social security systems globally, in line with modern-day requirements.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a Letter of Intent to expedite the process of preparing a new Memorandum of Understanding.
