In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, one of the significant areas of social reforms implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population in recent years has been the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
A modern rehabilitation system has been established in our country, accompanied by the opening of new rehabilitation centers. The spectrum of services has been significantly expanded to include new directions in line with advanced global practices.
Additionally, rehabilitation services have been introduced in community-based settings, tele-rehabilitation, and mobile formats.
As a result of these efforts, the annual number of individuals receiving rehabilitation services increased from 11900 in 2018 to 123300 in 2024, marking a 10,4-fold increase.
At the same time, the provision of rehabilitation devices to persons with disabilities has been enhanced. The number of types of rehabilitation devices provided at the expense of the state budget has been increased fourfold, from 34 to 130.
During this period, the annual number of rehabilitation devices provided to persons with disabilities grew 2,7 times, reaching 97000.
