Currently, approximately 800 children receive services in the institutions of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.
467 of them live in orphanages and family-type small group homes, while the remaining children reside in other institutions of the Agency under permanent state care. Among the children in social service institutions, 280 have disabilities.
After being admitted to the institutions, an initial assessment is conducted by a social worker, and an individual care plan is prepared to engage them in the social rehabilitation process.
According to the individual work plan and in cooperation with other relevant institutions, work is being carried out in the direction of their social rehabilitation and restoration of their social status.
Additionally, measures are taken for initial medical examinations, assessment of psychological-emotional conditions, protection of their rights, and organization of their cultural and leisure activities.
