Mediation was organized for journalists to familiarize themselves with the process of provision of these special sports prostheses
Seven additional people with disabilities due to war were fitted with advanced sports prosthesis at the Prosthetic-Orthopedic Production and Rehabilitation Center of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency, which is part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
To provide journalists with an understanding of the process involved in obtaining customized sports prosthesis, a mediator was arranged at that Center.
Media representatives were told that one direction of the work done in the field of social support and rehabilitation of people with war-related disabilities is providing them with high-tech, last-generation prostheses.
Since December 2020, the Ministry has provided 476 people with war-related disabilities with 572 high-tech modern prostheses. These prostheses, with their functional advantages, allow those persons to freely, completely and more precisely adjust the movement even in changing spaces and moments, as well as quick and comfortable integration.
As the next stage, the provision of high-tech special sports prostheses to people with war-related disabilities will continue this process.
The aforementioned prostheses are produced by "Bionic Center Prosthetics Orthotics", a representative of the Danish "Levitate" company in Türkiye and Azerbaijan, and enable people with war-related disabilities to make more free and active, comfortable movements in running and many other sports.
Media representatives recently got acquainted with the innovations applied in a number of production and other service areas of the Center.
