The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population held another meeting for the purpose of adaptation of persons released from serving sentences in penitentiary institutions to the social environment.
At the gathering held in Penitentiary No. 17 as part of their collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, details were given regarding the Agency's operations, the process of assisting convicted individuals in reintegrating into society, and the efforts made to safeguard their civil liberties.
It has become necessary to pay attention to social rehabilitation and adaption measures for people in need of social services and those who are not subject to punishment. According to reports, those individuals were involved in pertinent services, presentations on the management of social and psychological rehabilitation were given, and visits to their families were arranged based on the findings of the assessment that was done with them.
3 months before their release from conviction, another group of people was assessed based on a questionnaire at the event. After release from the sentence, it is planned to involve them in the social-psychological assistance service.
It should be noted that in the Social Adaptation Center of the Agency for persons released from serving sentences in penitentiary institutions, works are being carried out for the purpose of adapting persons of this category to the social environment, protecting their rights and freedoms, and legal interests. They are also provided with social-psychological, medical-social, social-counseling assistance and social-household services.
