The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection organized another meeting focused on the social reintegration of individuals released from penitentiary institutions.
At the event held in Penitentiary Institution No. 1 as part of the cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, information was provided about the Agency's activities, the adaptation of convicts to the social environment, and the efforts made to protect their rights and freedoms. Additionally, a presentation was given on combating drug addiction and integrating drug addicts into a healthy social life.
The participants were introduced to the services offered at the Social Adaptation Center of the Agency for people released from penitentiary institutions. It was noted that the Center conducts activities aimed at the social adaptation of individuals from the relevant category, with the goal of protecting their rights, freedoms, and legal interests, also provides the people with social-psychological support, medical-social assistance, social counseling, and household services. Speeches were also made about their socio-psychological rehabilitation and adaptation measures, "Social case management" ("Case Management") system.
Evaluation of 20 people three months prior to their release from prison was also carried out on the basis of a questionnaire. It is planned to involve them in the social-psychological assistance service after release from the conviction.
