Today, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provided 150 more apartments to members of martyrs' families and people disabled in the war, as well as 33 cars to the latter group.
The apartments are located in new residential complexes in Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron, and other regions. A ceremony to hand over the documents for these apartments and cars was held at the DOST Center № 4.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Karimov, and Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry, Professor Elshad Mammadov attended the event. A. Karimov emphasized that significant steps have been taken to enhance the social protection of citizens in these categories under the special care of President Ilham Aliyev.
One of these initiatives is ensuring housing and individual homes for members of martyrs' families and individuals disabled in the war. This program, initiated on the instructions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the 1990s, continues to be implemented successfully each year.
Following the historic victory of the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of President and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the program has been expanded fivefold upon the President's instruction.
It was noted that with the allocation of 150 additional apartments today, 650 apartments have already been provided this year, with another 150 planned for this week. In total, since the post-war period, nearly 6800 apartments and houses have been handed over, while the overall number since the program's inception has reached nearly 16000.
In addition, the provision of 33 more cars marks the completion of vehicle distribution for all individuals disabled in the war on the waiting list. In the post-war period, 567 cars have been allocated to this category, bringing the total to 7700.
E. Mammadov highlighted that the work being done to support members of martyrs' families and individuals disabled in the war, including providing housing, is highly appreciated by the public.
Members of martyrs' families and individuals disabled in the war expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care they receive and for being provided with new apartments and vehicles.
