The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population prepared another educational printed material - "Sex selection of children before birth is a serious blow to both reproductive health and demographic development" and distributed it to citizens in DOST centers and other institutions of the Ministry.
The flyer is in accordance with the "Measure Plan for 2020-2025 on the Prevention of Prenatal Sex Selection of Children" approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated February 24, 2020, as well as "Youths" approved by the Decree dated June 23, 2020 "The importance of family and marriage among children, the importance of family and marriage, in order to protect and strengthen it, it was prepared for the purpose of raising awareness within the Ministry's Action Plan regarding the implementation of the order of education on the negative consequences of early marriage and marriage between relatives."
In this printed material, it is stated that the consequences of sex selection of children before birth and the sex selection of children before birth is gender-based violence. The negative consequences of early marriage are also explained, and it is emphasized that it is an ill-considered step.
