The number of countries interested in learning and applying the experience of DOST, recognized by UN «Innovative solutions in public services», is expanding.
The Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security (DOST), established by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev of 9 August 2018, today turns 6 years.
The agency's mission is to provide the population with convenient access to labor, employment and social protection services through the network of DOST centers by using modern, operational and electronic services.
The DOST concept initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva is one of the important achievements of social reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years.
This concept provides 160 social services in 15 areas of work, employment, disability, rehabilitation, social protection and welfare from a single window, through modern and flexible, Fully transparent mechanisms according to the satisfaction of citizens.
Now 7 DOST centers in the city of Baku, Apsheron and Barda districts are being put into use, as well as a «Smart DOST» service point in the village of Agali Zangil and a branch of the Karabakh regional center DOST in the city of Shusha.
Over the past period, more than 2.8 million citizens have been served in DOST centres. The satisfaction rate of citizens with services is 98.2%. «Call-center 142 DOST» responded to about 6 million appeals from citizens over the past period.
The project and construction work for the establishment of a service network of DOST in Nahkcivan, Guba, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, Gandja and Masalli is currently under way.
In total, 17 new Regional DOST Centers and 55 DOST branches are planned to be established.
The DOST concept, a new brand of Azerbaijan, has been highly appreciated at international level and is among the best practices in the field of social innovation.
The DOT Agency has been awarded more than 30 international awards and certificates in the past period.
Among these awards are European Social Network, International Social Security Association, International Association of Pension and Social Funds, etc. as well as special awards are included.
The "Volunteer DOST" program of the DOST Agency has an important role in the expansion of the volunteer movement in our country. About 120,000 applications were received to the program in the past period, and more than 5,200 people were involved in this program.
The "Volunteer DOST" program has also been awarded a number of international awards, as well as the winner of the "Global HR Summit 2023" international competition.
