24 children have already been given to foster families by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. 8 of them are boys and 16 are girls.
Agreements were signed between the ministry and the persons who took the children into foster care.
10 of the children are in Baku, 14 are in the regions (including 3 in Lankaran, 1 in Jalilabad, 1 in Aghjabadi, 1 in Bilasuvar, 1 in Zagatala, 1 in Ganja, 1 in Goychay, 1 -1 in Shamakhi, 1 in Khachmaz, 3 in Goygol) were given to foster families.
Foster families receive 355 manats for each child under the age of six (395 manats for a child with a defined disability), 375 manats for a child between the ages of seven and thirteen (415 manats for a child with a defined disability), and 18 manats for a child between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. Each child between the ages of one and four receives a monthly allowance of 395 manats (435 manats in the event of a child with a recognized handicap).
Foster families additionally receive a one-time grant of 200 manat per kid, once every quarter, to be used for the purchase of seasonal clothing for the children placed in their care.
It should be noted that, according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev, from November 1, 2022, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population exercises powers in the field of "Foster family".
