residing in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall receive a pension on the same basis as citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan according to the Law "On Labour Pensions".
Labour pension is a monthly payment to citizens for the purpose of compensating the wages and other incomes received before the labour pension was assigned to them, or the income lost by their family members due to the death of the insured persons, determined by the rules and conditions stipulated in the Law "On Labour Pensions".
According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 1, 2023 "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Labour Pensions", the minimum amount of labour pension has been set at 280 manats from February 1, 2023.
According to the law, the following types of labour pension are defined:
- retirement pension;
- disability pension;
- survivor’s pension.
According to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, only one type of labour pension is assigned to the persons with different pension rights according to their wishes.
