Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, stateless persons and foreigners permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, unless otherwise provided for by international treaties to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party.
The allowance is granted upon the death of civil servants receiving a lifetime allowance, persons granted one of the following alowances - an old-age, disability or survivors’ allowance, insured persons receiving unemployment insurance payments in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Unemployment Insurance”, and labour pensioners.
Upon the death of civil servants granted a lifetime allowance, persons granted one of the following allowances—an old-age, disability, or a survivors’ allowance and insured persons receiving unemployment insurance payments in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Unemployment Insurance”, the amount of the allowance is 600 manats, while upon the death of persons receiving labour pensions, it is three times the minimum amount of the labour pension.
Regardless of the period of application, the allowance is granted and paid to the person who has incurred expenses related to the funeral of the deceased person.
Once a person becomes entitled to the allowance, they may apply for it to the structural unit of the State Social Protection Fund at their place of residence, a DOST Centre, or the “Unified coordination centres for applications from family members of martyrs, military personnel injured in connection with the war, and persons with disabilities”.
