An additional insurance payment is a monetary compensation paid to the insured person who suffered damage as a result of an insured event to reimburse expenses incurred in connection with treatment, additional nutrition, purchase of medicines, prosthetics, care by another person, sanatorium and resort treatment, acquisition of special means of transport, and retraining for another profession, in cases directly caused by that insured event.
