In order to ensure the participation of civil society institutions in the adoption of legal acts relating to the areas of activity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and in the organisation of public oversight in the relevant fields, an Election Commission consisting of nine members has been established to organise elections for membership of the Public council operating under the Ministry and to form the Council’s new composition.
Non-governmental organisations and civil society institutions operating in the relevant field are hereby informed that those wishing to participate in the activities of the Public council under the Ministry may apply to the Ministry’s Election Commission from 26 February 2025 until 4 April 2025, inclusive.
Pursuant to Clause 2.11 of the “Regulations on the election of the Public council by civil society institutions”, approved by Resolution No. 171 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 30 May 2014, a civil society institution must attach the following documents concerning the candidate it nominates for membership of the Public council:
· A copy of the identity card;
· The candidate’s curriculum vitae;
· If the candidate is a member of any civil society institution, a copy of the document confirming such membership;
· In the case of candidates nominated to public councils established under central executive authorities, a document proving that the person has experience or knowledge in the relevant field (if available, a copy of the employment record book; if no employment record book is available, other documents confirming this information).
In addition to the required documents, a civil society institution may also submit other documents providing more detailed information about the candidate. Each civil society institution may nominate only one candidate for membership of the Public council.
The application must also be accompanied by the candidate’s application form, email address, detailed information about the candidate, and documents describing their employment history and education.

The election to the Public council will be held on 18 April 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
