Born in 1980 in Baku, Mr. Anar Aliyev graduated from Baku State University with a bachelor’s degree (2000) in the field of International Law and later obtained a master’s degree in 2002 and a PhD in 2006.
From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Aliyev worked as the secretary of the court session in the Administrative and Economic Court of Baku City №1. He held the position of a chief adviser in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Economy and Industry from 2006 to 2008, and served as the head of the same department from 2008 to 2018.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 19, 2012, Mr. Aliyev was awarded the medal "For Distinction in Civil Service" for his contributions to the development of the Azerbaijani economy. By the Decree of the Head of State dated February 3, 2016, he was appointed a member of the Appeals Council under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where he contributed until 2018.
Until his current position, Mr. Aliyev has worked as the Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population until 2018 and later as the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 7, 2025, he was appointed Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He is married and has two children.
