One of the main rights of an employee under an employment contract is to use paid basic leave for not less than the minimum period stipulated by the legislation each year and, in appropriate cases, additional, social, unpaid, educational leaves.
An employee has the right to use leave for the first year of work after six months of work from the moment of conclusion of the employment contract. After six months of work, leave is granted to him on the basis of an application for leave until the end of the first year of work at a time agreed with the employer, as well as leave for the second and subsequent years of work at a time determined by mutual agreement with the employer.
On July 2 at 11:30, the “Social Hour” broadcast live on DOST TV will discuss the rights of employees to leave. Anar Shabanov, Deputy Head of the Baku City Department of the State Labor Inspectorate, will provide information about these rights and answer their questions.
