One of the measures implemented to support the social adaptation of individuals released from serving sentences in penitentiary institutions is ensuring their employment.
During the first eleven months of the current year, the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population covered 1,218 persons from this category with active employment measures.
Of these, 919 persons were provided with suitable jobs, 254 persons were involved in the self-employment programme to establish small family farms, and vocational training courses were organised for 45 unemployed persons.
