Rehabilitation services were provided to more than 2,700 war veterans in rehabilitation institutions in the post-war period

Media representatives got acquainted with the medical and social-psychological rehabilitation services provided to persons with disabilities at the Center, as well as to persons with disabilities related to the 44-day Patriotic War.
The construction of the rehabilitation infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements and the establishment of the Children's Rehabilitation Center in Gabala have been ensured in recent years in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. As a result, along with improving the quality of rehabilitation services, the rehabilitation potential has been increased many times.
14 rehabilitation institutions and 1 Prosthetic-Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center operate under the agency, in Baku and the regions of our country. Rehabilitation services were provided to 14,722 persons with disabilities in those institutions in the first quarter of this year. The Agency provided 19,939 rehabilitation tools (including high-tech modern prostheses, motorized wheelchairs, lower and upper limb orthoses, prosthetic and orthopedic shoes, etc.) to 3,547 people with disabilities during this period.
After the Second Karabakh War, 2,722 war veterans were provided socio-psychological and rehabilitation services in the rehabilitation institutions of the Agency, 1,913 persons with war-related disabilities were provided with 35,509 rehabilitation tools, 411 soldiers who were injured in the First and Second Karabakh Wars and had their lower and upper limbs amputated with 428 high-tech last-generation prostheses.
