A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with a delegation led by Marko Stucin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
Anar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population and Head of the Azerbaijan-Slovenia Joint Working Group on behalf of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations based on friendship, mutual respect, and fruitful cooperation with Slovenia.
The significance of high-level reciprocal visits and continuous political dialogue in the ongoing development of relations between the two countries was highlighted.
It was noted that the activities of the Azerbaijan-Slovenia Joint Working Group contribute to the expansion of bilateral relations. Information was provided on the reforms and achievements in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years, including the DOST Concept, which has been recognized as one of the leading global practices, and the successful implementation of large-scale e-government programs for social services.
Stucin expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan and stated Slovenia's interest in deepening bilateral relations, emphasizing that exchanging experiences in the social sector could be mutually beneficial.
The meeting also included discussions on expanding economic and trade relations, investment cooperation, and opportunities for further developing cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection.
