In accordance with the Order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on April 24, 2026, one-time financial assistance has been paid to participants of the 1941–1945 Second World War and other persons specified in the Order.
Under the Order, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population paid a one-time financial assistance of 2,750 manats to each participant of the Second World War in connection with the 81st anniversary of the Victory over German fascism.
One-time financial assistance of 1,500 manats was also paid to each widow of soldiers who died during or after the Second World War, persons awarded orders and medals for dedicated labour on the home front during that period, employees of special units who carried out assignments in the interests of the army and navy within the rear boundaries of combat fronts or operational zones of fighting fleets, persons awarded medals and badges for the defence of the city of Leningrad during the Second World War, as well as participants in the siege of Leningrad.
The Order covered nearly 2 thousand individuals in total, including 13 Second World War participants, and the one-time financial assistance was transferred to their bank accounts.
