One of the new services introduced in recent years at the rehabilitation centers of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, is robotic therapy.
During this period, 2,500 persons with disabilities have benefited from robotic rehabilitation services at these centers.
Robotic rehabilitation is applied in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and nervous system conditions. This therapy supports intensive and comprehensive neurorehabilitation for persons with disabilities, aids in the restoration of nervous system functions, and helps recover possible functional abilities.
The method is also used in the social, psychological, and physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities diagnosed with stroke, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and other conditions.
