Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the central executive authority that implements state policy in the fields of labor relations, occupational safety, utilization of labor resources, social protection of the population, including labor pensions and social insurance, state compulsory personal insurance, employment of the population, unemployment insurance, demography, medical and social assessment, rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, and foster care and adoption.

Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK)

It was established at the Congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions held on February 5–6, 1993. It is a voluntary union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and 26 sectoral trade union associations that represent and protect the labor and socio-economic rights and interests of trade union members. The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) encompasses 16,135 trade union organizations and approximately 1,121,946 trade union members. On February 24, 1994, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Trade Unions” was adopted.

National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK)

It is a public association of employers in the Republic of Azerbaijan and a non-commercial, non-governmental organization that does not aim to generate profit as its primary objective. Regardless of ownership and organizational-legal form (except for organizations financed from the state budget), it coordinates the activities of legal entities and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity on a voluntary basis, protects their legal and economic interests, is self-governing, and pursues socially beneficial goals.
