A roundtable was held at the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with representatives of civil society institutions, including members of the Public council under the Ministry and representatives of public organisations engaged in combating corruption.
The event was dedicated to the topic “Transparency and Ethical Standards in DOST Services: A Citizen-Centred Governance Practice”. Its purpose was to inform public representatives about the principles of transparency, ethical conduct and citizen-centred governance applied at the DOST Agency and its centres, and to facilitate an exchange of views on these matters.
Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency, spoke about the importance of the principles of transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in the provision of public services, as well as the significant role these factors play in ensuring citizen satisfaction.
Presentations were delivered on legal affairs, records management, administrative governance, quality management, service monitoring, strategy and data management practices at the DOST Agency.
Information was provided on the implementation of ethical conduct standards, ensuring transparency in service delivery, quality control and monitoring mechanisms, and preventive measures against corruption.
Elshad Mammadov, Chairperson of the Public council under the Ministry, and other representatives of non-governmental organisations expressed positive views on the DOST model, which enables state social services to be delivered through a “one-stop shop” in a prompt and transparent manner, in line with citizens’ convenience and satisfaction. They emphasised the importance of such discussions.
The participants’ questions were answered, their views and proposals on the topic were heard, and an exchange of views took place during the roundtable.
