A meeting was held with the Public council under the Ministry at the DOST Work Centre under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

Firudin Jabrailov, Director of the Centre, drew attention to the importance of meetings and exchanges of views with members of the Public council in ensuring effective public oversight and improving service delivery.

Bahauddin Aliyev, Deputy Director of the Centre, briefed members of the Public council on the work carried out over the past five months within the framework of the “Friend of the Unemployed” programme.

Elshad Mammadov, Chairperson of the Public council and Professor, stated that the activities of the DOST Work Centre had enabled tens of thousands of citizens to obtain temporary employment and acquire basic vocational skills. The Chairperson emphasised that expanding cooperation between the Public council and state institutions operating in the social sector contributes to citizen satisfaction and transparency in this area.

During the meeting, questions from members of the Public council concerning the activities of the DOST Work Centre were answered, and the importance of holding such discussions to facilitate mutual exchanges of views was highlighted.
